HUGE Annoucement Inside
I have some bad news...and some great news!
Well, it turns out, once again, when you plan for a Kickstarter, or honestly, plan for anything in life and get all your ducks in a row, nothing is ever completely in your control.
Essentially, 切皆是命，半点不由人, or in English, ‘Everything is fate, and nothing is up to people.’ You might even say, “Fortune is too fickle for me to bear and too unreliable for me to care,” from Seneca.
Or, simply, Deo volente, “If God wills it.”
I don’t care which you subscribe to, but reality remains the same. Life is a fickle, fickle mistress.
I had planned to do a Kickstarter this spring for a 22-page single-issue of MAFIA VS. KKK. In fact, we would have been launching in a month.
However, since life is fickle by nature, that is not happening…
Instead, we are launching the full 120-page OGN (We’re adding 10 more pages!) this September as a pre-sale for distribution from our new home… drum roll…
That’s right, we are a part of the Source Point Press relaunch in 2026 and set for GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION! That’s right, we’re going global!
Source Point Press has distribution channels in the Direct Market, including Lunar (United States), Universal (United States and Canada), and Diamond UK (United Kingdom, Europe, and more) through our partnership with PRANA Direct Market Solutions.
Additionally, we’ll have a secondary release schedule with Simon & Schuster, making the book available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and other retail bookstores throughout the United States.
Plus, we’ll be available online through digital distribution from Source Point Press directly!
Contracts have been signed, dates are being set, and a Kickstarter that was meant to kickstart a pathway to publishing turned into something special, a presale to the end goal.
For closing in on a decade now, I’ve had a career bucket list check off to publish with Source Point Press, and even longer wanting to work with Dirk Manning in some capacity or another on a project.
We’re talking these were core career goals I wanted to accomplish at some point.
Now, with him at the helm of Source Point, it is literally more than a checklist item, it’s like the best of both worlds smashed into one!
I get to land my first published project with a publisher where I knew the people and what they represent, and it’s being helmed by, no questions about it, the biggest mentor, driving force, source of help, advice, guide, the list is never-ending, individual in my professional writing career.
It’s truly more than just a special opportunity, and I am blessed and very grateful to have been given the opportunity presented.
Honestly, there are too many people to thank and so many different levels, and I can only say the ways things lined up, internally, and how they all played out was definitely something I had zero control over, and it all, literally all just came together, one unseen domino at a time.
I’m thankful to Dirk and Josh for believing in this project and wanting to include it in their revamp and new line-up of Source Point books.
I’m thankful for my family, my wife, and my parents’ continued support, belief, and patience to get to this point. Lots of hurdles. Lots of ups and downs. And more than that, plenty of no-gos that have ultimately boiled down to me lighting cash on fire.
And I’m thankful to God for this opportunity.
I cannot say how ‘right place, right time’ and ‘unseen hand’ some of the behind-the-scenes elements have turned out to be.
It was definitely not a plan I set out for, and it has been again, I cannot overstate this single word: an opportunity, that presented itself and unfolded more in providence than my own deliberate intention in many facets.
My only hope and real goal is not to let the people who have put their faith in me down, and to make sure I deliver. It’s another step, on a very long path, and I do not take it lightly.
I cannot say thank you enough to too many people.
And, in this new publishing deal, there been another change…

So, while you won’t be getting the 22-page first issue of this next month, you will, however, be able to take part in our pre-sale before publishing with Source Point come September!
Now, it’s time to start THE MAFIA VS. THE KLAN press tour, and hopefully sell you, the reader, on supporting me and buying this very, very special project that is near and dear to me.
I mean, out of everything to get a published first, a project that is inspired and based on true, real life events my grandfather expirienced, how amazing is that?
